Mr. R Sivanesan, B Tech graduate from Madras Institute of Technology has an impressive track record of 36 years in the auto industry including 23 years in Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Fiat, Ashok Leyland and Switch Mobility. In Maruti he made significant contributions – built a strong quality culture across the organization, was involved in successful launch of new models and established quality systems in their new plant. He has also played a key role in the area of market feedback/customer satisfaction which led to consistently good ratings in JD Power IQS and Customer Satisfaction Index continuously for 7 Years. He is also proficient in TQM concepts and has undergone training with AOTS – Japan.

Mr. R. Sivanesan joined Ashok Leyland in August 2011 and since then has set in place strong positive strategies that have brought about significant improvements in Quality and Sourcing and Supply Chain across the organization. He has been instrumental in the successful development and launch of new products – Boss and Captain Trucks and AVTR. Under his leadership Ashok Leyland fast tracked implementation of TQM practices across the Organization and Pant Nagar and Hosur Unit II Plants got Deming Awards.

He is the recipient of Prestigious Quality Council of India (QCI )'s Quality Champion - Gold Award , South Asia Quality Professional Award from American Society for Quality (ASQ ), Outstanding Quality Man award from National Institution for Quality and Reliability (NIQR ), Quality Leadership Award from World Quality Congress, Best Commercial Vehicle Procurement Head from World Auto Forum, Best Quality Leader of the year in The Most Enterprising Brands & Leaders of Asia from World Business Review Corporation.

Mr R. Sivanesan enjoys travelling, fond of music and gardening. His simplicity and modesty are qualities which are admirable and unique.

Venkata Murugan began his career at Madras Fertilizers Limited, where he spent eight years enhancing production efficiency and reducing costs in ammonia manufacturing. He then joined Saint-Gobain in 1GG8, where he has held various roles in Production, Operational Excellence, and Plant Management across India, China, and South Africa. His tenure at Saint-Gobain has marked by significant contributions to modernization projects, productivity improvements, and sustainability initiatives.

In his current role, Venkata Murugan oversees all operational aspects of Saint-Gobain's Glass Business in India, ensuring quality standards and driving continuous improvement. As the Head of the International Technical Directorate (India), he leads technical operations and innovation efforts, aligning them with global sustainability benchmarks. He is deeply committed to optimizing energy consumption, reducing emissions, and implementing circular economy practices, playing a pivotal role in Saint-Gobain's journey towards net-zero goals and global environmental standards.

Sachin Goel is the Head of Central Quality function at Ashok Leyland (all businesses) and is a part of its Senior Leadership Team. Sachin is leading transformation by designing and executing strategies to improve Customer Satisfaction by world class Product Quality.

Sachin has served many leadership assignments in Ashok Leyland. In his earlier role, Sachin was leading Foundry Business in Ashok Leyland as Business Head and drive business transformation. During his tenure, Foundry business has achieved best ever Profitability and Customer Satisfaction.

He has a vast experience in Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Field Quality and TQM Function in Ashok Leyland Ltd.

In his 29 years of rich work experience entailing Manufacturing and Service sector, he had worked in Process Engineering, Process Design, Supply Chain Optimization, Process Excellence and Change Management across various industries. He has worked with Automobile, Auto Components, Chemicals, Healthcare, Retail and BPO sectors with companies such as Samtel, Visteon, Dell, Jubilant life Sciences and is currently working with Ashok Leyland.

He has been a gold medalist throughout his academia. He is a Graduate Engineer (Mechanical Engg.) from Delhi college of Engineering, Delhi and MBA from MDI, Gurgaon (specialization in operations and strategy). He holds Six sigma Black Belt and CMQ-OE Certification from ASQ (American Society for Quality), MBB (Master Black belt) Certification from Indian Statistical Institute and Master in Supply Chain from MIT, USA.

Mr. G Giridhara Gopal had his BE Mech from College of Engineering, Guindy and CMA (Cost Accountant), Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Starting his career in Grindwell Norton Ltd in1989, he became Director in Vanmoppes Diamond Tools in 1993 and then joined Addison. He was appointed Director at Addison in 2018 and CEO by late 2020.

At Addison, he oversees RCD, innovation, and expansion into advanced precision tooling, aligning with "Make in India" and smart factory initiatives. He was instrumental in digital transformation: Addison renewed its 25-year partnership with Ramco’s ERP under his leadership.

Featured in publications such as “The Machining World Express” (March 2025), highlighting his leadership in furthering Addison’s legacy and future growth.

Mr. T. Sarangarajan is a veteran with total 42years experience in auto industry, with the first 32 years in the passenger car industry and presently working in Tractor industry for the past 10 years. He entered the industry in 1983 when auto industry was in very nascent stages. He started his career with Maruti when the plant was under construction and played a pivotal role in developing the auto ancillaries.

He brought in the concept of quality consciousness, helped in improving quality levels and bringing in the best practices to the shop floor of the ancillaries. In the next decade, he successfully implemented the concept of quality assurance of products and processes at Maruti and their vast network of 400+ vendors.

Mr. Sarangarajan joined Hyundai when it entered India towards the latter half of the 90’s. He was once again involved in building the company from inception right from construction of the factory, the production lines, to testing of the products and rollout. If quality assurance was a challenge at Maruti, at Hyundai it was bringing in a culture of using latest technologies - be it fuel injection in small cars (Santro was the first one to use it) or the popular CRDI diesel engines in Accent.

In his current role as President –Operations with TAFE, he strives to offer best products to customers not only by deploying the latest process, equipments and technology, but also through a highly motivated and involved workforce.

A mechanical engineer from Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, he is widely travelled and has his pulse on customers, distributors/dealers, vendors etc, around the world. He has also addressed many conferences on customer needs, quality, technology and challenges faced by auto industry.

He is married to Gowri, a certified cost accountant, who has held several senior level positions in the software industry and is now a homemaker. They have two children, a son who has engineering and MBA degree, working in Mumbai and a daughter who is a Fashion retail professional, settled in Stockholm, Sweden.

As the Head of Quality and Six Sigma at Cummins India, Ms. Kavita Kaushik drives the company’s quality transformation journey with a focus on Industry 4.0, Zero-Defect Mindset, and Customer Centricity.

She is a certified Independent Director through the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and a certified Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) professional. She is actively engaged across various initiatives at the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) State Council, leading their women empowerment panel and supporting the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) panel, focusing on digitalization and cost competitiveness.

She is a member of the WILL Forum of India, a platform where she mentors individuals, particularly women, to recognize and nurture their leadership capabilities, guiding them toward aspiring for senior leadership positions.

Mr. Meenakshi Sundaram is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Amalgamations Components Group and the CEO of IPL Shaw solutions private limited. Meenakshi Sundaram currently is responsible for developing Next generation EV, Green Energy & sustainable technologies for the Simpson & Co and Amalgamations components group through competency building and strategic partnerships. His significant contributions to the technology area include Motor and controller development, EFI technologies for small engines, Hybrid drive trains for India, USA and Europe.

Meenakshi Sundaram has a Masters in Operations Management and Bachelors in Mechanical engineering with 26 years’ experience in Automotive industry which includes 22 years in India and 4 years overseas. His Technical Career contribution involves many companies including GE, Delphi, Hindujatech. Previously he was the Director of Technical & Commercial at Gates corporation and was involved in design and development of hybrid electric drives. He also holds certifications in Robust engineering green belt and Six sigma black belt & Shain-in Red X problem solving.

Mr Kaniappan completed his mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology Suratkal, Karnataka, India, and his master’s degree in manufacturing systems engineering from the University of Warwick, UK. Additionally, he holds an Executive MBA from the Great Lakes Institute of Management in Chennai, India, and completed the Wharton Business School’s Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

His career began as a graduate engineer trainee at Sundaram Clayton Moped division in Hosur. Throughout his career, Mr. Kaniappan has held various management roles within the Brakes business. He joined the Sundaram Clayton Brakes division in Chennai in 1992 and later moved to the Foundry division as the business head. In 2001, he became the operations head of the Brakes business and eventually served as President (operations) of the Brakes Division.

Mr. Kaniappan’s achievements include being ranked among the top 100 and Best CEOs in 2016 by Business Today (BT). He was also honoured with Frost & Sullivan’s IMEA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 for his valuable contributions to the manufacturing sector. He has been conferred the Ashoka Award by ISQ in 2022 in recognition of his leadership, guidance, and exceptional contributions through the practice and promotion of quality management of sustainable results. Besides the business recognitions, Mr. Kaniappan was also awarded “NIQR Outstanding Quality Man - 2023”. His impressive career trajectory and accolades highlight his leadership and expertise in the industry.

Mr. P. Kaniappan was the Managing Director of ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited. Before taking on this role, Mr. Kaniappan led WABCO in the strategic growth market of India as a Whole-time Director since 2009.

He was awarded the order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbons by the Japanese Government in Autumn 2020, in recognition of his contribution to promoting academic exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and India.

He was awarded the prestigious Harsha Award by ISQ in 2023 for guiding companies in the journey for quality excellence. He was awarded Japanese ‘Foreign Minister’s Commendation’ by the Japanese Government in 2015.

He is an alumnus of Delhi University and JNU; retired in 2019 after an illustrious career of 40 years. He has visited Japan close to 80 times and lectured at many universities. He has lectured at Nikkei BP business seminar as a regular faculty (2 times in a year) from 2010-2012. He was visiting Professor at the Hiroshima University in 2011-12. He wrote for the column ‘Be’ for the Asahi Shimbun for 2 years in 2013-14. He was Director at the Japanese School New Delhi for over 15 years.

He was awarded PhD degree from Anna University. He completed professional training in Manufacturing Management from M.I.T., Boston, USA and also in Japan and Korea.

Dr.N. Ravichandran is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Quality Council of India (QCI). Indian Institution of Production Engineers and National Institution for Quality & Reliability and “Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering” - highest recognition for an Engineer. He is also the Academician of International Academy of Quality, USA.

Retired as Executive Director from Lucas TVS after serving 48 years in the company and currently as Chief Mentor for UCAL Fuel Systems Ltd., Dr. N. She is a trained vocalist who learned Carnatic music from the legendary Lalgudi Sri G. Jayaraman. Her Harikatha performances often include musical compositions by well-known composers.

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Vishakha Hari ranked All India 3rd in the CA Final Examination, All India 1st in the Direct Taxes Final Examination and University First in her B. Com examinations.

She is a Distinguished Professor of Oriental Studies at SASTRA University, Thanjavur. She also runs a free online school called Vijayashri School of Harikatha, promoting traditional storytelling among children.

Vishakha Hari has authored books, including an English adaptation of Sri Krishna Premi Swamigal’s “Sati Vijayam”.

She is an A-Graded artiste of All India Radio and has received several awards from leading cultural organizations in India and abroad.

She has presented Harikatha programs across the world, captivating audiences with her engaging style and spiritual depth.
